FLEXIBLE ANTENNAS BASED ON NATURAL RUBBER

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research C, 2016
Flexible substrates have been increasingly studied in recent years. This paper proposes natural rubber as a new substrate material for flexible antennas. In our work, prototype antennas were built using rubber formulated with different filler contents.

RaPro: A Novel 5G Rapid Prototyping System Architecture

open access: yes, 2017
We propose a novel fifth-generation (5G) rapid prototyping (RaPro) system architecture by combining FPGA-privileged modules from a software defined radio (or FPGA-coprocessor) and high-level programming language for advanced algorithms from multi-core ...

Resistance Rapid Heating of Aluminum Coatings in an Extreme High Vacuum–Adequate Atmosphere for Hot Stamping

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The subject of this work is the development of a corrosion‐protective coating on steel sheets for form hardening. Rapid heating in an extreme high vacuum (XHV)‐adequate atmosphere is a useful method to prevent oxidation during alloying of 22MnB5 and aluminum to obtain a metallurgical bonding.

Design of the reduced LQG compensator for the DSS-13 antenna [PDF]

open access: yes
A linear-quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) compensator design procedure is proposed for the DSS-13 antenna. The procedure is based on two properties. It is shown that tracking and flexible motion of the antenna are almost independent (the separation property). As

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.
