Flexible Substrate Materials for Wearable Antennas
2020 4th Australian Microwave Symposium (AMS), 2020Several flexible substrate materials potentially usable for wearable antennas are presented in this paper, including rubber, leather and foam. The measured electrical characteristics are compared to show their pros and cons in view of wearable antenna design.

Stability of a Spinning Satellite with Flexible Antennas
AIAA Journal, 1974For large z, these results take the same form as given by blastwave theory. Near the nose, however, the finite thickness of the body is taken into account. A comparison of Eq. (20) with the flat-plate data of Cheng et al. is shown in Fig. 1, with d — 2rb. The over-all agreement between experiment and theory is very good. The worst agreement is near the

Broadband UHF flexible vivaldi antenna
2013 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2013A novel Vivaldi flexible antenna with a -6 dB bandwidth from 150 MHz up to 900 MHz is presented. The whole antenna is realized on a 600 × 600 mm2 silicone foam substrate. In this paper we describe the design, the realization and the performances of this high gain and directive antenna.

A wideband conformal flexible monopole antenna
2017 International Conference on Wireless Technologies, Embedded and Intelligent Systems (WITS), 2017This paper presents the development and design of conformal flexible monopoles antennas. It can be used on different curved surfaces while maintaining all its parameters, The advantage of this monopole disc antenna consist on his capacity to remain matched for all radius of curvature.

Flexible and wearable antennas
2018in this chapter discusses the planar-inverted F-antenna (PIFA) is used for the wearable application, which reduces the effect of radiation on the human body by reducing the radiated power towards the body. As the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) transmitted power is reduced, the battery life is increased. This performance is achieved due to

A novel flexible antenna is proposed for UWB applications. The antenna is printed on 50 um thickness Kapton polyimide with size of $\mathbf{21, mm}\times\mathbf{12}$ mm. Simulations of $\vert \mathbf{S}_{11}\vert$ varying with antenna size are presented. The proposed antenna is fabricated and measured.

Wearable Antennas on Flexible Substrate
2018 2nd URSI Atlantic Radio Science Meeting (AT-RASC), 2018Antenna is still one of the major devices in any wireless application. It has a direct impact on the size, shape and performance of the global wireless system. The physical integration of antennas to devices is a major issue for the designers as they must deal with additional features like safety and regulation constraints. Nowadays, the tendency is to

Flexible conformai antennas have wide application possibilities provided that they are small and flexible so that they can be conformally placed on the surfaces associated with the specific applications. Certain applications may also require small size compact antennas operational at relatively low microwave frequencies.

A flexible deployable CubeSat antenna
2016 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2016This paper describes the design procedure of a deployable antenna for Cubesat applications operating in the UHF frequency band of 437 MHz. Due to the expected large size for operation in this band, the meanderline and Vivaldi miniaturization and broadbanding techniques are used to obtain a wider impedance bandwidth.
