Ultraviolet (UV) imagers are important for a variety of applications but often require dedicated semiconductor process flows. Here, a versatile capacitive CMOS platform is transformed into a visible‐blind, multispectral UV imager through post‐CMOS functionalization with solution‐processed metal‐oxide nanoparticles. The UV‐induced photodielectric effect

CoSP: Reconfigurable Metamaterial Inverse Design via Contrastive Pretrained Large Language Model
In this work, CoSP (contrastive multi‐state pretrain), an intelligent inverse design method for reconfigurable metamaterials based on a contrastive pretrained large language model, is proposed. Numerical experiments demonstrate that CoSP can design reconfigurable metamaterial structures for multi‐state, multi‐band optical responses, showing great ...

A self‐powered vibration sensing platform integrates a quasi‐zero‐stiffness piezoelectric harvester, synchronized electric charge extraction, energy management, and wireless ADC acquisition. Ambient vibration is simultaneously harvested as energy and digitized as information, enabling sustained real‐time waveform monitoring without external power.

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2008
Full-scale accelerated testing was used to provide new insight into quantifying the effectiveness of geogrids on low-volume flexible pavement performance. Although several previous studies report that geogrids improve pavement performance by enhancing structural capacity and reducing distress potential, the new study addresses how to maximize the ...

Perpetual pavement design for flexible pavements in the US
International Journal of Pavement Engineering, 2006Long lasting asphalt pavements have been designed and constructed in the United States for many decades. Pavements that have avoided structural failure in the presence of heavy traffic and which require only periodic resurfacing are advantageous in terms of minimizing life cycle cost and user delays.

Recycling of Waste Originating Form Flexible Pavements for Bound-Base Courses of Flexible Pavements
The Journal of Solid Waste Technology and Management, 2020Reclaimed Asphalt pavement (RAP) is a C&D waste originating from the reclamation of asphalt pavement which has completed its service life. Using RAP would potentially reduce reliance on primary aggregates and lowers the environmental impact of construction.

Unified Pavement Distress Index for Managing Flexible Pavements
Journal of Transportation Engineering, 1992One of the innovative approaches for maintaining and rehabilitating the nation's highways is to develop and implement some form of pavement management system (PMS). This paper documents results of a survey on PMS use in the United States. In addition, a simple method for a PMS based on priority ranking is presented.

Utilization of RAP in Flexible Pavements
2020In modern days, life without the transportation industry is unimaginable. The roadways play a vital role in improving the economy of the country. As the roadways require necessary strengthening, rehabilitation or reconstruction depending on the severity of the damage caused to the structure during its service life, enormous quantity of RAP will be ...

Viscoelastic Approach to Rutting in Flexible Pavements
Journal of Transportation Engineering, 1995Permanent deformation (rutting) in bituminous pavements is treated as a linear viscoelastic flow phenomenon and is calculated using the linear elastic layered pavement model VESYS, reported by Kenis in 1978, supplied with equivalent viscous material properties.
