Semi-Flexible Pavement Structure Analysis Based on Double Modulus Theory

open access: yesZhongwai Gonglu
Semi-flexible pavement materials have significant differences in tension and compression. If the mechanical response analysis of pavement structures is conducted by using the traditional linear elastic theory with a single modulus, there will be a ...

Agency cost estimation on flexible and rigid pavement

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2019
Flexible pavement is a road pavement type which is commonly used, however rigid pavement is also widely used now days in Indonesia. It has even been used for local roads (managed by local authority), which take in heavy vehicle loads. This rigid pavement

EVALUATION PAVEMENT DISTRESSES USING PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Pavement deterioration is resulted by both environmental and structural causes. It is difficult to maintain the road on the same specification that was owned at the opening and problems start to appear represented in the pavement cracks, holes and ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Effects Variability Number of Load Repetitions on the Optimum Thickness of Asphalt Layer with Respect to Fatigue and Rutting Behaviour on the Sand Bed Soil Area

open access: yesPolytechnic Journal, 2023
This study investigates the effect of the variability of a number of load repetitions on the asphalt layer thickness, and also the elastic modulus of pavement materials on the behaviour of flexible pavement structural on the sand bed soil with respect to

A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.
