Whole‐tire reclaimed rubber is upgraded with wood sawdust, a carpentry by‐product available at no cost, across loadings from 0 to 20 wt%. At 5 wt%, tensile strength, elongation, hardness, viscosity, and water absorption all stay within commercial specification, and real factory data show an annual production saving near $62,000 with no capital ...

Analysis of the lateral vibrations of an unbalanced Jeffcott rotor
This paper examines experimentally and analytically the lateral vibrations of a Jeffcott rotor running at various unbalance states. Using a Bently Nevada RK-4 rotor kit, three states of eccentric mass unbalance were assumed in this study: 0.4g, 0.8g and ...

Flexibility within the Rotor and Stators of the Vacuolar H+-ATPase
The V-ATPase is a membrane-bound protein complex which pumps protons across the membrane to generate a large proton motive force through the coupling of an ATP-driven 3-stroke rotary motor (V1) to a multistroke proton pump (Vo). This is done with near 100% efficiency, which is achieved in part by flexibility within the central rotor axle and stator ...

A gel polymer electrolyte thermoplastic vulcanizate (GPE–TPV) was prepared by blending HNBR and PEC by melt extrusion then thermally decomposing PEC to yield liquid EC. EC is absorbed into the crosslinked HNBR, yielding an electrolyte that is mechanically and electrochemically stable enough to permit cycling in a LiFePO4–Li half‐cell.

On Nonlinear Rotor Dynamic Effects of Aerodynamic Bearings With Simple Flexible Rotors
Abstract The last decades have experienced a growing enhancement of aeronautical oil free turbomachinery. The classical linear approach of rotor dynamics commonly uses stiffness and damping coefficients to model journal bearings. In the present study, a nonlinear time dependant calculation is used for the dynamic simulation of a rotor ...

Real‐Time Biomass Estimation in High‐Density Yeast Fermentations Using Soft Sensor Modeling
Accurate biomass measurements, both offline and online, are essential to improve prediction and control in yeast fermentation. This study develops regression‐based predictive models to correlate offline measurements (Dry Cell Weight and OD600 from a spectrophotometer) with online OD860 probe signals to provide accurate real‐time biomass estimations and

BODIPY‐based J‐aggregates: From supramolecular chemistry to NIR bioimaging and phototherapies
BODIPY dyes form ordered J‐aggregates through controlled supramolecular self‐assembly, producing narrow, red‐shifted absorption bands with small Stokes shifts. This review highlights design strategies governing J‐aggregation, structure–property relationships, and applications in sensing, bioimaging, and phototherapy, guiding functional BODIPY‐based ...
