Evaluation of Expanded Gamut Printing in Flexography

open access: yes, 2021
There is a great need in the packaging industry to produce increasingly smaller lots in a more cost-effective and sustainable way, where the spot color accuracy of the brand elements is critical. Traditional flexography is spot color printing or four-color process printing supported by spot colors that consume a lot of time, effort, and materials. This

The Impact of Printing Substrate on Dot Deformation in Flexography

open access: yesTehnički vjesnik, 2018
This study characterizes and compares the dot properties in flexography on coated and uncoated paper and on OPP film, with the use of conventional AM screening technology and photopolymer plate with flat top dots. A monochrome test form was created and printed with cyan ink on three different printing substrates.
