Flexure mounts for high-performance astronomical lenses

We have developed practical, high performance flexure mounts for large astronomical lenses in the Binospec spectrograph. Flexure mounts are an attractive alternative to the widely used elastomeric lens mounts when high axial stiffness is a priority and coupling fluids are incompatible with elastomers.

Fatigue Performance in Flexure of Fiber Reinforced Concrete

An experimental investigation of the behavior of fiber reinforced concrete under cyclic flexural loading is presented. One type of polypropylene and two types of steel fibers in two different volume concentrations are studied. Load-deflection response is obtained for constant amplitude fatigue loading as well as for static loading.

Performance of velocity sensor for flexural wave reduction
