Flexure strength of repaired dental composites
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1986Abstract — A study was conducted to determine differences in flexure strength between unrepaired and repaired dental composite bars. Four groups, each consisting of 10 samples, were investigated. Group A consisted of unrepaired samples, while groups B‐D consisted of samples which had been cut to lengths of 17.5 mm and repaired to a total length of 35.0

Inelastic flexural strength of aluminium alloys structures
Engineering Structures, 2006Abstract In this paper, the results of an extensive numerical study devoted to the evaluation of the inelastic flexural behaviour of aluminium alloy structures are provided. The main aim of the research is to determine the required ductility for applying simplified methods of plastic analysis (i.e.

Flexural strength of joined and intact amalgam
Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 1982Flexural strength of joined and intact specimens of five different alloys were measured. The same alloys were also tested in compression. Joined specimens were also tested in compression. Joined specimens were made by condensing fresh amalgam against the ground surface of 1 week old amalgams.

In this communication, Al2O3-20 wt% ZrO2 composites (ZTA) were prepared by a novel oscillatory pressure sintering (OPS) process. An almost perfectly full density of 99.94% and a relatively high flexural strength of 1145 MPa can be achieved for the OPS ...

Longitudinal Flexure as a Method for Determining the Flexural Strength of Composite Materials
Mechanics of Composite Materials, 2004A method is presented for determining the flexural strength of composites from tests on pinned specimens in axial compression. This scheme is close to the so-called Euler buckling model, but the load is applied eccentrically, and the bar is bent practically from the beginning of loading.

Influence of thermo-curing on the flexural strength of GIC
Dental Materials, 2014Objectives: The aim of this study was to test the influence of thermo-curing (externally applied heat) on flexural strength (FS) of glass-ionomer cement. Material and Methods: The FS of commercial glass ionomer (Fuji Equia Fil, GC) was measured using a method based on ISO9917-2:1998.

Flexural Strength and Ductility of High-Strength Concrete Columns
SP-176: High-Strength Concrete in Seismic Regions, 1998High strength concrete with a specified compressive cylinder strength of up to 70 MPa for ductile elements in seismic design and of up to 100 MPa for other elements is now permitted by the recently revised New Zealand concrete design standard NZS 3101:1995.
