Skin‐Inspired Design of Self‐Healing Coatings Integrating Interface‐Liquid Repellency and Corrosion Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A skin‐inspired multilayered coating system is developed to integrate multiple, often conflicting, functions of self‐healing capability, strong liquid repellency, long‐term corrosion resistance, and robust adhesion, to tackle diverse challenges in engineering services.

Pengembangan Alat Pengukuran Kelelahan Mental Berbasis Uji Flicker

open access: yesJurnal Teknik Industri, 2016
Previous studies have been conducted to measure fatigue using flicker test. However, the validity of the device is still unknown empirically. This study proposed a modification of fatigue measuring apparatus based on flicker test.

PROTAC‑Mediated HMGCR Depletion Reprograms Lipid Metabolism in Breast Cancer to Potentiate Photoimmunotherapy via Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a study that identifies HMGCR as a novel target in TNBC and develops a light‐gated PROTAC nanomedicine. Upon irradiation, this agent selectively degrades HMGCR, reprogramming lipid metabolism to induce ferroptosis and potent antitumor immunity, thereby significantly enhancing photoimmunotherapy efficacy.

Synergistic Effects of Solid Electrolyte Mild Sintering and Lithium Surface Passivation for Enhanced Lithium Metal Cycling in All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study proposes a synergistic strategy combining mild sintering of solid electrolyte pellets with lithium metal surface passivation, effectively suppressing dendrite growth, and enhancing interfacial stability. This approach doubles the critical current density of symmetric cells (1.1 to 2.2 mA cm−2) and extends full cells cycle life at 1 mA cm−2 ...

Probing Ultrastrong Through‐Space Electronic Coupling in Donor‐Acceptor Systems at the Single‐Molecule Level

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A series of through‐space coupled donor‐acceptor (D–A) molecules is sandwiched between two electrodes to determine their single‐molecule conductance. As the D–A interaction weakens, single‐molecule conductance reduces while Flicker Noise PSD n‐value increases (coupling strength decreases).

Scattering Improves Temporal Resolution of Vision: A Pilot Study on Brain Activity

open access: yesPhotonics
Temporal vision is a vital aspect of human perception, encompassing the ability to detect changes in light and motion over time. Optical scattering, or straylight, influences temporal visual acuity and the critical flicker fusion (CFF) threshold, with ...

Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stabilizing multiple elements within a single phase enables the creation of advanced materials with exceptional properties arising from their complex composition. However, under equilibrium conditions, the Hume–Rothery rules impose strict limitations on solid‐state miscibility, restricting combinations of elements with mismatched crystal ...

Effect of microgravity on several visual functions during STS shuttle missions [PDF]

open access: yes
Changes in the acuity of astronaut vision during flight are discussed. Parameters such as critical flicker vision, stereopsis to 10 seconds of arc, visual acuity in small steps to 20/7.7, cyclophoria, lateral and vertical phoria and retinal rivalry were ...
