Research on automatic pilot repetition generation method based on deep reinforcement learning

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurorobotics, 2023
Using computers to replace pilot seats in air traffic control (ATC) simulators is an effective way to improve controller training efficiency and reduce training costs.

Investigation of Air Transportation Technology at Princeton University, 1989-1990 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
The Air Transportation Technology Program at Princeton University proceeded along six avenues during the past year: microburst hazards to aircraft; machine-intelligent, fault tolerant flight control; computer aided heuristics for piloted flight ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Research on Wiener Degradation Model and Failure Mechanism of Interconnect Solder Joints Under Random Vibration Load

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Electronic packaging solder joints are the key parts of mechanical fixation and electrical interconnection between electronic chips and printed circuit boards, which are prone to failure and lead to electronic device failures under the action of ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

PERFORMANCE TEST ON UAV-BASED PHOTOGRAMMETRIC DATA COLLECTION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
UAVs are becoming standard platforms for applications aiming at photogrammetric data capture. Since these systems can be completely built-up at very reasonable prices, their use can be very cost effective.

Velocity vector control system augmented with direct lift control [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
A pilot-controlled stability control system that employs direct lift control (spoiler control) with elevator control to control the flight path angle of an aircraft is described.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
