Leeward centerline and side fuselage entry heating predictions for the space shuttle orbiter [PDF]
Heat transfer data measured along the leeward centerline and on the side fuselage of the Space Shuttle orbiter during STS-2 and STS-3 are compared with predictions of empirical heating techniques derived from wind tunnel tests.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Discovery of a wind-driven diamagnetic current system in the Martian magnetosphere
Magnetic fields around Mars shape the pathways of energy input into, and ion escape from, the Martian atmosphere, thereby potentially affecting the atmospheric evolution of Mars.

Evaluation of Technology Concepts for Energy, Automation, and System State Awareness in Commercial Airline Flight Decks [PDF]
A pilot-in-the-loop flight simulation study was conducted at NASA Langley Research Center to evaluate flight deck systems that (1) provide guidance for recovery from low energy states and stalls, (2) present the current state and expected future state of

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

The first 25 years of satellite carbonate sedimentology: What have we learned?
Earth observing satellites offer a way of viewing large‐scale, high‐volume transport events (storms) in global carbonate systems as well as monitoring the quiescent intervals between events.

Flight test of a pure-tone acoustic source [PDF]
Static and flight testing of a pure-tone acoustic source were conducted in order to: (1) determine if a 4-KHz tone radiated by a source in flight and mixed with broadband aircraft flyover noise could be measured on the ground with a high degree of ...

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.
