Robust Visual Tracking Based on Adaptive Extraction and Enhancement of Correlation Filter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In recent years, correlation filter (CF)-based tracking methods have demonstrated competitive performance. However, conventional CF-based methods suffer from unwanted boundary effects because of the periodic assumption of the training and detection ...

Dynamic testing of docking system hardware [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Extensive dynamic testing was conducted to verify the flight readiness of the Apollo docking hardware. Testing was performed on a unique six degree-of-freedom motion simulator controlled by a computer that calculated the associated spacecraft motions ...

Search-based 3D Planning and Trajectory Optimization for Safe Micro Aerial Vehicle Flight Under Sensor Visibility Constraints

open access: yes, 2019
Safe navigation of Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs) requires not only obstacle-free flight paths according to a static environment map, but also the perception of and reaction to previously unknown and dynamic objects.

Tailoring K+/Vacancy Disordered Layered Oxide via Charge Engineering for Stabilizing High‐Performance Potassium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
With a charge‐ion coupling engineering strategy, a K+/vacancy disordered K0.5Mn0.8Co0.1Ti0.1O2 material has been designed. The targeted transition metal doping disrupts charge ordering and inducing K+/vacancy disordering, thereby enabling rapid K+ diffusion through interconnected channels and a stable solid‐solution reaction mechanism.

Structure Formation in Butterfly Scales: Interplay of Genetic Control, Mechanical Instabilities, and Dynamic Material Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Butterfly wing scales are intricate cuticular functional nanosctructures. This perspective suggests that spatially varying material properties, cytoskeletal constraints, and growth‐driven mechanical instabilities shape the resulting nanoscale architectures created from single cells.

Temperature‐Robust Interphase Enables Carboxylate‐Ester Electrolyte for Stabilizing High‐Voltage Sodium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A synergistic electrolyte engineering strategy of employing ethyl acetate (EA) with vinylene carbonate (VC) as multifunctional additives is initially pioneered, making various as‐prepared high‐voltage wide‐temperature sodium batteries work well via the formation of a gradient and temperature‐robust interphase.

Trends and Interannual Variability of the Hydroxyl Radical in the Remote Tropics During Boreal Autumn Inferred From Satellite Proxy Data

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Despite its importance for the global oxidative capacity, spatially resolved trends and variability of the hydroxyl radical (OH) are poorly constrained. We demonstrate the utility of a tropospheric column OH (TCOH) product, created from machine learning ...
