Stability Characteristics of Floating Bush Bearings
Stability characteristics, or “oil-whip suppressing effect”, of floating bush bearings is investigated theoretically and experimentally. A theory based on the assumptions of “infinitely short bearing” and “film rupture in negative-pressure region” is derived and stability charts obtained by numerical calculations are presented.

Coupling Analysis of Dynamics and Oil Film Lubrication on Rotor - Floating Bush Bearing System
A coupling calculation method using dynamics and lubrication for a rotor and floating bush bearing system has been developed to predict self-excited oscillations and unbalance oscillations using a flexible multibody dynamics technique with hydrodynamic lubrication theory.

Determination of Friction Coefficient in Floating Bush Bearings by Strain Gauge Method
A floating bush bearing is a kind of journal bearing in which the bushing will float between the journal and bearing. Knowing the frictional coefficient is important for the determination of wear loss and power loss conditions; an appropriate test rig is used to determine friction of floating bush bearings. The frictional coefficient of bearings in dry

Abstract The sealing structure of the floating bush is used to connect the cylinder barrel and the valve plate and compensate for the inconsistency of the motion, which is caused by the offset of the cylinder barrel under the external load and the dynamic pressure of the water film.

Run-up of turbocharger rotors in nonlinearly modelled floating bush bearings
MTZ worldwide, 2010With small-sized high-speed rotors, such as exhaust turbochargers in cars and trucks, floating bush bearings are used. The multi-body simulation of the run-up of exhaust gas turbocharger rotors with nonlinearly modelled floating bush bearings represents a great challenge for hydrodynamics and rotor dynamics.
