Our findings show that Eurasian jay dispersal activity depends on specific understorey structures when selecting caching microsites—particularly shrub cover and standing pines. These features could be directly shaped by management to promote assisted natural oak regeneration.

Assessing differences among elasmobranch nurseries to aid conservation based on a genomics framework
Abstract Elasmobranch nurseries often differ in environmental conditions, demographics, and use patterns. These differences affect the distribution of genetic variation among nurseries. However, conservation and management strategies often fail to account for such differences because they are difficult to characterize.

Biodiversity offsetting should be based on adequately large multipliers to deliver no net loss or a net gain for biodiversity, yet the multipliers are often applied without quantitative assessment of the ecological outcomes of offset actions. Here, we show how ecologically realistic offset multipliers were defined based on ecological response estimates

The Effects of Microplastics and Additives on Ecosystem Function, Structure, and Signaling
Microplastics disrupt ecosystem signaling through olfactory traps, altering predator–prey signaling and disrupting microbial communication and quorum sensing. ABSTRACT Microplastics (MPs) and their associated chemical additives are pervasive contaminants whose ecological impacts extend beyond organismal toxicity to fundamentally alter ecosystem ...

Climate change is increasingly impacting arboreal mammals, yet these effects vary across regions and taxa, and global syntheses to inform conservation priorities remain limited. This study presents the first global synthesis of climate change impacts on arboreal mammals using a systematic review, meta‐analysis, and bibliometric analysis.
