Variable Stiffness Flexure Structures Enabled by Phase‐Change Gallium and Adhesive Interfacial Locking for Soft Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A flexure‐based variable stiffness structure is developed by integrating phase‐change modulation and adhesive interfacial locking of gallium. The design enables a wide stiffness variability, transitioning from soft, flexible behavior to rigid, load‐supporting performance.

Secret Key Recovery of FALCON using Simple Power Analysis in Conditional Calculator

open access: yesTransactions on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems
Among the NIST-standardized algorithms, FALCON is a lattice-based digital signature scheme that offers strong security and compactness. However, FALCON’s reliance on floating-point arithmetic makes it vulnerable to side-channel attacks.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Optimal Inverse Projection of Floating-Point Addition

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceIn a setting where we have intervals for the values of floating-point variables x, a, and b, we are interested in improving these intervals when the floating-point equality $x ⊕ a = $b holds.

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

ASIC Design of Butterfly Unit Based on Non-Redundant and Redundant Algorithm

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2021
Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processors employed with pipeline architecture consist of series of Processing Elements (PE) or Butterfly Units (BU). BU or PE of FFT performs multiplication and addition on complex numbers. This paper proposes a single BU to
