Design of mooring system for a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) terminal [PDF]
The use of FPSO for deep sea exploration of hydrocarbon resources has been on trend. Thus, there is a need for ensuring safety with regards to station keeping. However, there are mainly two materials used for mooring line fabrication: Synthetic and Steel. Polyester rope is regarded as a good synthetic option for deep water mooring application.

THE LATENT CAUSES OF REWORK IN FLOATING PRODUCTION STORAGE AND OFFLOADING PROJECTS
There is growing demand for cost effective and reliable floating production systems to maximize marginal and new deepwater fields worldwide. Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels are considered to be the most economical and viable options to meet this demand. Yet, FPSO projects are prone to significant cost and schedule growth.

Fatigue life analysis on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO)
Abstract Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) is the mobile offshore structure like a ship where the wave load acts on the ship’s hull periodically. The influence of the cyclic load must be analyzed for the fatigue life of the FPSO. The objective of the present study is to analyze the fatigue life of the FPSO.

Abstract Large transient overvoltages can be caused by the switching operation of vacuum circuit breakers (VCBs) during disconnection of induction motors. In this paper VCBs, cables, generators, busbars, induction motors and surge arresters are modeled by making use of ATP-EMTP.

Abstract In this study, the analysis of the relative motion at the bow between an FPSO and a head sea wave in the gulf of guinea was done. Based on the strip theory and regular wave model, the Response Amplitude Operators (RAOs) and the excitation forces were determined.

Floating production storage offloading unit structural fatigue analysis [PDF]
This thesis examines the fatigue behaviour of FPSO structures. It has been compiled as a result of theoretical, analytical and experimental study. The Finite Element approach has been utilized to analyse the FPSO's structure. It is intended that this particular work will enable further computer simulations for fatigue assessment to be carried out.

Floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) plants are facilities used in upstream petroleum processing. They have gained interest because they are more flexible than conventional plants and can be used for producing oil and gas in deep-water fields. In general, gas export is challenging because of the lack of infrastructure in remote locations.

Unattended Floating Production Unit FPU and Attended Floating Storage Offloading FSO
Offshore Technology Conference, 2022Abstract The objective is to present a normally unattended Floating Production Unit (FPU) and an attended Floating Storage Offloading vessel (FSO) concept as an alternative to an unattended FPSO. The unattended FPU operating philosophy is for one year with a two-week maintenance campaign.
