Solution concerning climate change and utilization of Wind Turbine and Floating PV in Coastal Area

open access: yesASEAN Journal of Community Engagement, 2019
The global average sea level is rising at a rate of 3.2 mm per year according to recent observations of the IPCC. One of the main factors in sea level rise is thermal expansion, where greenhouse gases, especially CO2, accumulate and generate heat ...

Laser‐Induced Local De‐Doping in Organic Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The polymer PBTTT‐C14 doped with the small molecule acceptor F4TCNQ is considered as a benchmark material system. Mask‐free, microscale patterning of the doping level via laser‐induced heating and sublimation of dopant molecules is shown. Controlling laser irradiance and swath spacing allows dopant level control with laser‐limited resolution, opening ...

Conductive Tin Oxide Under the Thermal Budget of Perovskite/TOPCon Tandems: Toward Indium‐Free Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that achieving conductive undoped SnOx contacts required careful tailoring of oxygen vacancy (VO) tuning and defect engineering. Controlling oxygen deposition pressure and low‐temperature annealing (300°C) optimizes defect stoichiometry and mitigates carrier scattering. This low thermal budget approach significantly enhances Hall

A Pentaradial and Bilateral Combined Photoreception System in the Sea Cucumber is Mediated by a Blue Light‐Sensitive R‐Opsin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The sea cucumber Holothuria leucospilota detects blue and adjacent wavelengths of light via an r‐opsin with a maximum absorption at 459 nm. In the oral tentacles, papillae, and tube feet, distinct light‐sensing structures with specialized morphologies are formed, constituting a unique pentaradial and bilateral combined photoreception system.

An overview of floating PV worldwide

open access: yes, 2018
Floating solar systems can represent a serious alternative to ground mounted solar systems. At present, the international market for floating PV is small compared to the total PV market, but expected to become a multi-billion market in the coming years ...

A techno-economic comparison between grounding PV and floating PV for shore power generation : Case study of Yangshan port

open access: yes, 2020
Electrification is taking place to reduce the emissions from maritime transportation by substituting ships’ auxiliary engine generation with shore power systems, therefore the power demand at berths increases dramatically. In this paper, we take Yangshan

Single‐Cell Dissection of Therapy‐Induced Remodeling Uncovers a Fibroblast‐Driven Immunosuppressive Niche and Targetable Vulnerabilities in Lethal Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell longitudinal profiling reveals that androgen‐deprivation therapy induces a DPT+ fibroblast‐complement axis that suppresses macrophage inflammation and drives CD8+ T cell exhaustion in prostate cancer. Concurrently, resistant epithelial subpopulations persist and engage TSPAN1‐ and NRXN1‐mediated programs promoting CRPC and neuroendocrine ...

Early Retinal UCHL1 Dysregulation Coupled With Synaptic Loss Reflects Alzheimer's Disease Severity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies synapse‐enriched deubiquitinase UCHL1 as an early Aβ‐responsive regulator of retinal synaptopathy in Alzheimer's disease. Retinal UCHL1 loss accompanies excitatory synapse degeneration, p75NTR activation, and neuroinflammation, and predicts Braak stage and cognitive decline. Aβ42 fibrils trigger synaptic and UCHL1 depletion before

Flexoelectricity in Photoconversion: Fundamentals, Materials, and Outlooks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanical bending of a flexible cantilever induces a strain gradient in the photoactive material. The resulting flexoelectric field couples with photovoltaic and photoconductive effects, modulating charge generation, separation, and collection. A comparative analysis of oxide perovskites, halide perovskites, and two‐dimensional materials is presented,
