Conductive Tin Oxide Under the Thermal Budget of Perovskite/TOPCon Tandems: Toward Indium‐Free Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that achieving conductive undoped SnOx contacts required careful tailoring of oxygen vacancy (VO) tuning and defect engineering. Controlling oxygen deposition pressure and low‐temperature annealing (300°C) optimizes defect stoichiometry and mitigates carrier scattering. This low thermal budget approach significantly enhances Hall

Flexoelectricity in Photoconversion: Fundamentals, Materials, and Outlooks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mechanical bending of a flexible cantilever induces a strain gradient in the photoactive material. The resulting flexoelectric field couples with photovoltaic and photoconductive effects, modulating charge generation, separation, and collection. A comparative analysis of oxide perovskites, halide perovskites, and two‐dimensional materials is presented,

Graphene‐Engineered Rear Interfaces Enable Efficient Flexible CZTSSe Solar Cells on Metal Foils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An atomically thin graphene interlayer stabilizes the rear interface of flexible CZTSSe solar cells by regulating interfacial stress, suppressing detrimental interfacial reactions, and reducing the back‐contact barrier. This strategy simultaneously improves photovoltaic performance and mechanical durability.

Sundown, sunrise: how Australia can finally get solar power right [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The journey to a new model of electricity delivery in Australia has begun, but has so far seen mistakes and much waste. If the transformation is managed poorly, consumers will pay again.

Unveiling a Near‐Total Rear Passivation for High Performance of Ultra‐Thin ACIGS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultra‐thin solar cells of (Ag,Cu)(In,Ga)Se2 (ACIGS) suffer from rear interface recombination, limiting their performance. To tackle it, a full coverage plasma enhanced chemically vapor‐deposited 8 nm porous SiOx passivation layer was implemented and evaluated. It is shown that a combination of the near‐complete passivation from silica and the formation
