Flocculation study on spiral flocculator
Water, Air, and Soil Pollution, 1986Traditionally, the Jar Test has been used to assess the suitability of flocculation treatment for a given raw water. Unfortunately, the Jar Test suffers from a number of disadvantages. The new method of assessment of flocculation, Spiral Flocculator, has been claimed to be a better method than the Jar Test apparatus and a good method for continuous ...

Flocculation and Flocculation Basins
Transactions of the American Society of Civil Engineers, 1955An important process in the treatment of water, sewage, and industrial wastes is the formation of suspended floes which can be effectively removed from the liquid by settling or filtration.

Evaluation of several flocculants for flocculating microalgae
Bioresource Technology, 2015Flocculation of microalgae with chitosan, polyacrylamide, Al2(SO4)3, NaOH and HNO3 was evaluated. Their flocculation efficiencies and optimal dosages were discussed. The effects of the flocculants on cells viability were also investigated and the cells were found to be intact during the flocculation process.

Yeast flocculation: Flocculation onset and receptor availability
Yeast, 1993AbstractFlocculent strains of brewing yeast grow and ferment as single cells and flocculate in the stationary phase of growth. The switch from single‐celled yeast growth to multi‐celled aggregation, flocculation onset, is of critical importance to the brewing industry.
