Flood Frequency Analysis of Main Nara Valley [PDF]
This paper deals with the flood of 2007 and its frequency analysis at MNY (Main Nara Valley), and generally describe flood of 2010 in Sindh Pakistan. Heavy monsoon rain and cyclones cause the flood conditions in Sindh.

Flood frequency analysis [PDF]
Floods can be characterised by peak flow, flood volume with a defined duration, or other attributes. They are considered as independent and identically distributed. Empirical flood frequency provides the basis for analytical flood frequency estimation. Computer software helps to speed up the frequency analysis process.

Escaping the Scaling Relationships in Oxygen Reduction Catalysis: Implications for PEM Fuel Cells
Escaping the scaling relationships of the oxygen reduction reaction is vital for hydrogen fuel cells. This outlook examines how interfacial heterogeneity, spanning the subsurface lattice, chemisorption layer, and near‐interface solvation volume, mechanistically decouples intermediate binding energetics.

Logarithmic transformation and peak-discharge power-law analysis
The peak-discharge and drainage area power-law relation has been widely used in regional flood frequency analysis for more than a century. The coefficients and can be obtained by nonlinear or log-log linear regression.

This review examines passive, active, and hybrid liquid manipulation strategies, highlighting hybrid approaches as an emerging route to reconcile energy efficiency with adaptive control. By actively reconstructing passive surfaces to store programmable interfacial energy, hybrid systems enable flexible yet low‐power liquid transport, with perspectives ...

Understanding Operando Water Management in Hydroxide‐Exchange‐Membrane Fuel Cells
Effective water management is vital for high‐performance hydroxide‐exchange‐membrane fuel cells. Using a custom water‐flux station, this study quantifies how membrane thickness, microporous layers, and operating conditions dictate internal water transport.

Hydrologically similar sites are pooled together to provide much longer records than those at the investigation site. Some key catchment attributes (descriptors) are used in establishing a pooling group through initial selection, discordancy check and heterogeneity test.

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

Threshold effects in catchment storm response and the occurrence and magnitude of flood events: implications for flood frequency [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to illustrate the effects of selected catchment storage thresholds upon runoff behaviour, and specifically their impact upon flood frequency.
