ABSTRACT A thermosetting in situ curing resin microsphere system has been developed. It has controllable phase transition time and particle size. This system addresses the current challenges of low strength, shear susceptibility, and short phase transition time in polymer microsphere blockers and thermoplastic particle blockers.

Heat stress disrupts gut microbial balance in poultry, impairing nutrient absorption and immunity. This review outlines the interplay between thermal stress and microbiome dynamics and discusses integrative mitigation strategies, probiotics, phytogenics, cooling systems, and genetic adaptation to enhance poultry resilience.

How local water and waterbody meanings shape flood risk perception and risk management preferences [PDF]
The sharp end of climate change is being, and will continue to be, experienced at the local and personal scale. How changing patterns of hazards interplay with local landscapes is an important focus of risk management, both in understanding how place ...

Constructing risks – Internalisation of flood risks in the flood risk management plan
Traditional flood protection methods have focused efforts on different measures to keep water out of floodplains. However, the European Flood Directive challenges this paradigm (Hartmann and Driessen, 2013). Accordingly, flood risk management plans should incorporate measures brought about by collaboration with local governments to develop and ...

Perspectives on risk analysis and control for real-time operation of flood control systems
Flood control operation, a non-engineering measure, can efficiently manage flood disasters within a river basin. However, numerous uncertainties exit in the real-time operation of flood control systems, creating risks in decision-making.
