本研究では,新潟県西部の関川水系に設置されている関川流域委員会において実施されたアンケート調査に基づき,水害対策行動と環境行動に至る心理プロセスの共通点と相違点を検討した.その結果,共通点として,両者とも行動に至るまでには「知識」「関心」「動機」「行動意図」という心理段階を経ることが,相違点として,水害対策行動では危機感が関心に,知識が行動に及ぼす影響が大きいことが明らかになった.また,水害対策と環境ごとに地域差を比較したところ,水害対策では各心理段階とも地域差が大きく,その背景には水害被災経験による差のあることが明らかになった.
