Integrative Framework for Understanding (Im)mobility Across Geographical Contexts

open access: yesTijdschrift voor Economische en Sociale Geografie, EarlyView.
Abstract In this article, we present an integrative analytical framework for understanding (im)mobility across different geographical and thematic contexts. We contend that previous literature on (im)mobility has underplayed the psychosocial mechanisms underlying perceived capabilities and aspiration formation.

Microplastic Dynamics in Sediment Layers of Two Ramsar‐Designated Wetlands

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Little is known about the vertical and spatial dynamics of microplastics in relation to hydrology and land use, particularly in African context. This study aimed to assess the abundance, type, colour and vertical distribution of microplastics in sediment from two Ramsar‐designated wetlands, the Makuleke and Nylsvley. Sediment core samples were

Systematics of Marmosa Subgenus Micoureus With Emphasis in ‘rapposa’ Group (Didelphidae, Marmosini): Geographic Variation and Revalidation of M. budini

open access: yesZoologica Scripta, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Micoureus is the most species‐rich subgenus within the genus Marmosa. Conflicting arrangements regarding the number of species comprising this subgenus have been proposed and the validity of M. budini has been debated. Here, we used an approach integrating genetic and morphological data were conducted to reanalyze the ‘rapposa’ group ...

Revisiting Genetic Relationships of the Endangered Austrian Turopolje With Balkan and Commercial Pig Breeds Using Genome‐Wide SNP Data

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The endangered Austrian Turopolje (AT) pig population, which originated from six Croatian Turopolje founders imported during the early 1990s, is nowadays preserved through a national conservation project. This study aims to identify genetic relations, genetic distances and migration events between the AT population, four Austrian commercial ...

Spatiotemporal changes in soil chemical properties when cover crops are integrated into raised, stale seedbed corn production systems

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Commercial row crop production in the midsouthern United States is characterized by extensive application of inorganic soil inputs and management practices that contribute to degraded soil health. This study was conducted to determine if cover crops affect spatial or temporal changes in soil chemical properties in a raised, stale seedbed ...
