Digital Transformation and Environmental Pillar of ESG‐Based Performance Under Financing Constraints: The Mediating Role of Green Innovation in Chinese Listed Firms

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study builds upon existing work that links digital transformation (DT), financing constraints (FC), green innovation (GI), and firms' environmental pillar of ESG‐based performance (SP(E)), and further examines whether DT supports SP(E) through GI under FC.

Real‐time lithology identification while drilling based on drill cuttings image analysis with ensemble learning

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A lithology identification while drilling method was developed, integrating an automated cuttings sampling system, a smart drilling rig, and an ensemble learning model. Underground trials achieved 97.42% accuracy in real‐time identification of cuttings lithology and composition, enhancing hazard management and supporting unmanned drilling technology in

Exponentially‐constrained Gaussian mixture model for quantifying vertical development of water‐conducting fracture zones in lithologically stratified mining roofs

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study proposes an exponentially‐constrained Gaussian mixture model (EcGMM) to quantify vertical fracture heterogeneity in stratified roof strata. The model integrates a piecewise exponential decay term capturing global stress dissipation with Gaussian components representing localized fracture intensification at lithological interfaces.

Dynamic prediction of coal and gas outburst risk based on quantitative analysis of stress–energy evolution and adaptive correction

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study quantitatively analyzed the spatiotemporal evolution of stress redistribution ahead of the working face by integrating coal seam distribution, tectonic stress anomalies, gas pressure, and mining‐induced disturbances. An R‐value criterion for coal and gas outburst (CGO) risk assessment was established based on energy principles.

Honesty in Difficult Conversations: Insights From Healthcare Professionals

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT When being honest is expected to cause emotional distress to those it concerns, it can be difficult to practice. This study examines how honesty is understood and accounted for in situations of emotional, moral and relational complexity. Drawing on semi‐structured interviews with 16 Danish healthcare professionals (8 doctors and 8 nurses), we ...
