Impact Sound Transmission Through Floor/Ceiling Systems

open access: yesNoise Notes, 2009
The mechanisms responsible for the transmission of sound in building elements such as floor/ceiling systems are complex and not yet fully understood. In an attempt to understand some of these phenomena, an analytical model was developed for finite and non-periodical floor/ceiling systems to predict their low frequency response to impact excitations ...

Psychoacoustic studies on assessment of floor impact sounds.

open access: yesJournal of the Acoustical Society of Japan (E), 2000
The paper examines how well standard sources of impact sounds(bang-machine, A-ball, NF-ball, new rubber ball)imitate real impact sounds(human jumping and hopping). The compared sounds were described from psychoacoustic point of view.At the same time similarities between the impact sounds were judged in the psychoacoustic experiment. Results were compared

Blood Cell‐Camouflaged Liquid Metal Nanoconjugates Orchestrate Treg Depletion and STING‐Amplified Photothermal Immunity for Metastatic Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐blood biomimetic engineering transforms liquid metal nanoparticles into a tripartite immunotherapeutic platform that orchestrates regulatory T‐cell depletion, photothermal‐induced immunogenic cell death, and activation of the stimulator of interferon genes pathway.

From Sensing Mechanisms to System Co‐Design: Graphene‐Based Sensors and Readout Circuits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review establishes a unified PS–EQ–RF framework linking graphene sensing mechanisms, native electrical outputs, and output‐specific readout circuits. Voltage‐, current‐, resistance‐, and capacitance‐type sensing systems are systematically classified to guide architecture selection, low‐noise design, system co‐design, and practical integration ...

Closing the Loop: High‐Precision 3D Photofabrication in Living Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Writing 3D microstructures inside living tissue demands more than laser access; It demands information. Hierarchical sensing captures thermal and mechanical states across pulse‐train, voxel, and structure timescales, feeding a controller that steers the laser in real time.

Proposal of an Assessment Method of the Impact Sound Insulation of Lightweight Floors

open access: yesBuildings, 2020
Lightweight floors are in line with a sustainable construction concept and have become increasingly popular in residential buildings. The acoustic performance of such floors plays a pivotal role in the overall building quality rating.
