Doubly-periodic Floquet theory

Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1984
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to develop a theory for differential equations with doubly-periodic coefficients analogous to the classic Floquet theory for differential equations with singly periodic coefficients. Unlike the classical theory the role of the exponent v of the differential equation is fundamental.

A Floquet theory of the general linear rotating machine

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, 1980
As is well-known, the fundamental assumption underlying Park's decisive analysis of the ideal linear three-phase rotating machine is that all windings on the (nonsalient) stator are in effect sinnsoidally spacially distributed as far as concerns the calculation of any self or mutual magnetic flux linkage.

Topological classification of Floquet metamaterials based on Floquet theory

2022
Being driven by the goal of finding edge modes and of explaining the occurrence of edge modes in the case of time-modulated metamaterials in the high-contrast and subwavelength regime, we analyse the topological properties of Floquet-Lyapunov decompositions of periodically parameterized time-periodic ordinary differential equations.

Theory of a dithered-ring-laser gyroscope: A Floquet-theory treatment

Physical Review A, 1985
This paper discusses the properties of a periodically dithered-ring-laser gyroscope in the approximation of a single phase-locking equation. We discuss both modulation of the input rotation, the phase of the backscattering, and its amplitude. The first two are found to be mathematically equivalent, and the last case is found to offer no advantages as ...

The floquet theory for quasi-periodic linear systems

Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 1982
In this paper we establish the Floquet theory for the quasi-periodic system $$\frac{{dx}}{{dt}} = A(\omega _1 t,\omega _2 t, \cdots ,\omega _m t)x$$ (0.1)

Floquet Theory of Multiphoton Transitions

1987
In Chapter 6 we saw how the Floquet Hamiltonian for multiphoton processes arises from the semiclassical resolvent theory and how this Hamiltonian was found to be essentially equivalent to the projection of the quantum Hamiltonian onto the space of the occupation numbers.

Multiphoton Processes: Floquet Theory

2010
The study of the interaction of intense laser fields with atoms and molecules has attracted considerable attention in recent years. In particular, the availability of increasingly intense lasers has made possible the observation of a wide variety of multiphoton processes, including multiphoton ionization, laser-assisted electron–atom collisions and ...

Summary: The generalized Floquet system which satisfies certain conditions is considered. The existence of F-periodic solutions is established.
