Abstract Background Cardiovascular risk factors, such diabetes, hypertension, blood pressure, obesity, and smoking, are linked with allostatic‐interoception – the continuous monitoring of internal bodily states in anticipation of environmental demands. These risk factors are associated with dementia risk.
