Spondias Growing in the Florida Home Landscape
Spondias species (whose common names among English speakers include ambarella, Ataheite apple, mombins, and hog plums) are flowering trees native to tropical and subtropical regions. They are known for their sweet fruit and grow well in the warmest parts of Florida.

Landscape Patterns of Periphyton in the Florida Everglades
Periphyton is an abundant and ubiquitous feature of the Florida Everglades, often forming thick mats that blanket shallow sediments and submersed plants. They are considered to be primary ecosystem engineers in the Everglades by forming and stabilizing soils, controlling concentrations of nutrients and gases, and supplying food and structure for other ...

A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

This study uncovers a previously unrecognized copper‐COMMD1‐SOD1 regulatory axis, revealing that pathological copper overload paradoxically suppresses SOD1 activity by promoting COMMD1‐dependent disruption of SOD1 homodimerization. These findings redefine the regulatory role of copper in SOD1 biology and provide novel mechanistic insight into the ...

In the pathological context of osteoarthritis (OA), the phosphorylation of AKT1 at Ser473 enhances its binding to Lys140 of Insig1, which facilitates the formation of AKT1–Insig1 complex. Subsequently, the activation of AKT1 promotes the phosphorylation of Insig1 at Ser189, potentially enhancing the dissociation of Insig1 from sterol regulatory element‑

Schematic diagram showing compressive stress triggers glycolytic reprogramming and lactate accumulation in macrophages. Lactate mediates TRAF6 lactylation at K171/K180 dual sites, which enhances its K63‐linked ubiquitination to activate the NF‑κB pathway and promote M1 polarization. This cascade drives orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) and alveolar bone

ABSTRACT Amplification‐free Cas12a diagnostics with split crRNA enable rapid and programmable target recognition, yet insufficient understanding of DNA activator architecture prevents predictable control over trans‐cleavage activity and sensitivity. Here we systematically map over 200 split DNA activator configurations by introducing nicks at every ...

Large‐scale whole‐exome sequencing in 356,982 UK Biobank participants defines the protein‐coding architecture of retinal structure, visual function, and major blinding diseases. Pleiotropic genes, including CFI, C3, and RIOX1, bridge multiple retinal phenotypes, while experimental validation of FYB2 implicates RPE barrier dysfunction, providing ...

Furrow tillage resolves the conventional‐vs.‐no‐tillage trade‐off by simultaneously cutting CO2 efflux to 2.0–3.0 g C m−2 d−1 and unlocking high nutrient availability for the rice rhizosphere. This scalable agronomic solution strengthens soil health, enhances plant physiology, reshapes microbial metabolism, and shifts paddy systems toward a net ...
