Changes in the floristic composition in Parasnath Hill

In the present study, an attempt has been made to record the changes in floristic composition in Parasnath hill during the past 150 years. In all 568 taxa belonging to 360 genera and 101 families are reported from the area, out of those 188 taxa (33.09%) recorded on or before 1955 have diminished or untraceable and 136 taxa (23.94%) are reported as new

A survey was conducted in central inland Queensland, Australia of 108 sites that were deemed to contain Aristida/Bothriochloa native pastures to quantitatively describe the pastures and attempt to delineate possible sub-types. The pastures were described in terms of their floristic composition, plant density and crown cover.

This study presents an analysis of floristic composition, diversity and structure of Sheko forest, southwest Ethiopia. Quadrats of 20 m x 20 m were laid down along line transects in Sheko forest to collect vegetation data. A total of 374 plant species, representing 256 genera and 91 families were recorded.

The flora of Teberda Reserve is rather rich, given its small territory. A recently revised checklist included 1,133 vascular plant species (Vorob’eva & Onipchenko 2001). The flora of bryophytes used to contain 73 liverworts and 227 leafy mosses (Ignatova et al. 1990), but 67 moss species have been added since (Onipchenko & Ignatova 1996).
