All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

'Calving laws', 'sliding laws' and the stability of tidewater glaciers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A new calving criterion is introduced, which predicts calving where the depth of surface crevasses equals ice height above sea level. Crevasse depth is calculated from strain rates, and terminus position and calving rate are therefore functions of ice ...

2D Multifunctional Spin‐Orbit Coupled Dirac Nodal Line Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A total of 473 nonmagnetic and antiferromagnetic 2D spin‐orbit coupled Dirac nodal line materials are screened, spanning 5 layer groups and 12 magnetic space groups. Furthermore, it integrates their topological properties with electride, multiferroic, and magnetic characteristics, revealing unique systems with expanded functionalities and promising ...

Entering the Strong Coupling Regime in Conventional Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Organic solar cells convert light into fossil‐free energy, yet they still cannot compete with their silicon counterparts. Strong exciton‐photon coupling can ameliorate some properties of organic solar cells, but it requires additional mirrors that diminish light absorbance. Here, mirror‐free strong exciton‐photon coupling is implemented in conventional

Investigating the First-Order Flotation Kinetics Models for Iranian Gilsonite

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Kinetic models are the most important instruments for predicting and evaluating the performance of flotation circuits. To determine the kinetic order and rate of flotation of a gilsonite sample, flotation experiments were carried out in both rougher and ...

Froth Flotation in Saline Water

open access: yesKONA Powder and Particle Journal, 2014
The use of seawater in mining/metallurgical operations seems to be the only sustainable solution in many zones with limited resources of fresh water.

Hydrometallurgy of the delta sulfide ores, second stage report [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
This report contains results of the Fluidized-Bed Leaching (FBL) initially adapted to improve Leaching-Flotation processing of Delta ores in sulfate solution. The research carried out in the continuous laboratory installation show, however, that the new,

Transparent Inorganic–Organic Bilayer Neural Electrode Array and Integration to Miniscope System for In Vivo Calcium Imaging and Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents the BioCLEAR system, a highly transparent and conductive neural electrode array composed of silver nanowires (AgNWs) and doped PEDOT:PSS, enabling neural recordings with minimal optical artifacts. When integrated with a GRIN lens, this cost‐effective neural implant allows simultaneous electrophysiological recording and GCaMP6‐based ...
