Selectivity in column flotation froths
International Journal of Mineral Processing, 1988Abstract Selectivity in the froth zone of two industrial flotation columns in a Mo-cleaning circuit has been studied and modelled. Froth depth is shown to be a significant factor. Froths deeper than 1 m gave selective recovery of Mo, with upgrading of 10–15% absolute. Froths less than 50 cm showed no selectivity.
