Evaluation of hematite and quartz flotation kinetics using surfactant produced by Rhodococcus erythropolis as bioreagent

open access: yes, 2019
The use of biosurfactants as reagents represents a promising alternative to the conventional surfactants used in the mineral industry because they may present low toxicity and high biodegradability.

Movement patterns in free water play after swimming lessons with flotation aids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
© 2012 Human Kinetics, Inc.The aim of this study was to investigate the movement patterns of children during free play in a swimming school setting. It was hypothesized that children being taught using flotation vests would be less likely to surface dive,

Removal of Emulsified Paraffine from Water: Effect of Bubble Size and Particle Size on Kinetic of Flotation

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, 2007
This paper  studied  kinetics  of flotation   of  emulsified  paraffine  in  water  in  bubble  column  with  sodium .dodecylsulphate as a collector agent. The effects of oil drops and air bubble diameters on the flotation rate constant were studied. The

The kinetics of fast flotation using the reflux flotation cell

open access: yes
This paper examines the kinetics of Fast Flotation of very fine, hydrophobic particles using a rectangular-sectioned downcomer in the Reflux Flotation Cell (RFC). Three separate downcomers of equal height and breadth, but different channel widths of 2, 4.

The effect of energy input on flotation kinetics

open access: yes, 2018
SYNOPSIS Energy/power input in a flotation cell is an important parameter which, if optimised, can increase the flotation rate. The optimum energy/power input within a flotation cell is still a matter of conjecture and there is a need for a better ...

Transient Charging Dynamics in Stacked Ga2O3/ZnO Photovoltaic Units Governing Wavelength‐Selective Polarity Switching

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reveals a “Photovoltaic‐Capacitance” coupling mechanism in stacked Ga2O3/ZnO devices, defining the ZnO/graphene interface as a novel Photovoltaic Dynamic‐Capacitor (PDC). The wavelength‐selective bipolar response enables a physical layer secure communication protocol based on ternary optical logic (“1,” “0,” “−1”).

Recent Advances in Pickering Emulsion Templated Phase Change Material Microcapsules: Design, Fabrication, and Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Fabrication process of phase change microcapsules using a Pickering emulsion template method and their subsequent applications. The increasing demand for efficient thermal energy storage systems has driven the development of phase change material microcapsules (PCMMs), which provide high energy‐storage density, reversible phase change, and reduced ...
