Donor‐derived tdTomato+ mature hepatocytes were FACS‐isolated and transplanted into Fah−/− host mice. During regeneration, these cells convert into proliferative, unipotent Afp+ rHeps. Their plasticity is governed by a PPARγ/AFP‐dependent metabolic switch, segregating into pro‐proliferative Afplow and pro‐survival Afphigh subpopulations.

Integrating the humanities and the social sciences: six approaches and case studies
The social sciences are still young, and their interaction with older siblings such as philosophy and theology is still necessarily tentative. This paper outlines three ways in which humanistic disciplines such as philosophy and theology might inform the

Compartmentalized Homeostasis Drives High Bamboo Forest Productivity under Nutrient Imbalance
This study reveals how Moso bamboo achieves high productivity despite nutrient‐poor soils. It employs a unique strategy, maintaining strict nutrient balance in its leaves while using woody tissues as flexible storage reservoirs. This compartmentalized mechanism buffers the plant from soil phosphorus limitation and microbial competition, resolving the ...

Perspective: Hollow Core Optical Fibres for Ultraviolet and Visible Wavelengths
Hollow core optical fibres bypass material constraints that limit optical fibres at ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. However, their challenging fabrication has limited their development, and significant gains in performance remain possible. In this perspective we outline approaches to enable the next generation of fibres for shorter wavelengths ...
