Lagrangian Flow Network approach to an open flow model [PDF]
Concepts and tools from network theory, the so-called Lagrangian Flow Network framework, have been successfully used to obtain a coarse-grained description of transport by closed fluid flows.

Discovering information flow using a high dimensional conceptual space [PDF]
This paper presents an informational inference mechanism realized via the use of a high dimensional conceptual space. More specifically, we claim to have operationalized important aspects of G?rdenforss recent three-level cognitive model.

Is a baseball like knuckleball possible in cricket?
The knuckleball is considered to be one of the hardest pitches to hit in baseball due to its seemingly unpredictable motion. It has gained popularity in cricket in recent times.

Acoustofluidic semen analysis for veterinary male bovine infertility assessment
We demonstrate through the use of a unique acoustically driven microfluidic extensional rheometry platform (ADMiER) that a single measurement – i.e. the time required for a liquid bridge filament comprising a microlitre semen sample to thin and break up ...

Geodesic Flows Modelled by Expansive Flows
AbstractGiven a smooth compact surface without focal points and of higher genus, it is shown that its geodesic flow is semi-conjugate to a continuous expansive flow with a local product structure such that the semi-conjugation preserves time parametrization. It is concluded that the geodesic flow has a unique measure of maximal entropy.

Wind speed inference from environmental flow–structure interactions
This study aims to leverage the relationship between fluid dynamic loading and resulting structural deformation to infer the incident flow speed from measurements of time-dependent structure kinematics.

A Curvature Flow Unifying Symplectic Curvature Flow And Pluriclosed Flow
Streets and Tian introduced pluriclosed flow and symplectic curvature flow in recent years. Here we construct a curvature flow to unify these two flows.
