Professionalism skills education in medical physics residency: Current state and perceived importance

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The purpose of this study was to collect data on current practices for teaching and assessing professionalism in CAMPEP‐accredited residency programs. Methods A survey of 21 questions was sent to 160 program directors (PDs) of CAMPEP‐accredited residency programs.

An investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery for 1–3 cm single brain lesions on the ring‐mounted Halcyon LINAC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose An evaluation of the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the Halcyon ring delivery system (RDS) for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment to relatively small (1–3 cm) brain lesions. Methods After completing the extensive in‐house quality assurance checks including Winston–Lutz test and independent dose verification via MD Anderson ...

Flow Control for Unmanned Air Vehicles

, 2021
The pervasiveness of unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), from insect to airline scales, combined with active flow control maturity, has set the scene for vehicles that differ markedly from present-day co...

Flow of Control

2021
In this chapter we will learn the first simple mechanism of changing the execution flow (also known as the “flow of control”), so that we execute our code in a slightly more flexible manner than having to run one command after another in a sequential fashion. We will illustrate the concept of changing the flow of execution.

Flow of Control [PDF]

open access: possible, 2012
In almost any computer program written for a scientific computing application we need to allow the computer to execute a collection of statements if—and only if—some criterion is met. For example, if we were writing a program to control the motion of a spacecraft travelling to Mars, the program would include lines of code that would control the safe ...

Gentle flow control: avoiding deadlock in lossless networks

Conference on Applications, Technologies, Architectures, and Protocols for Computer Communication, 2019
Many applications in distributed systems rely on underlying lossless networks to achieve required performance. Existing lossless network solutions propose different hop-by-hop flow controls to guarantee zero packet loss.

Flow Control

Applied Mechanics Reviews, 1989
The ability to actively or passively manipulate a flow field to effect a desired change is of immense technological importance. In this article, methods of control to achieve transition delay, separation postponement, lift enhancement, drag reduction, turbulence augmentation, or noise suppression are considered.
