DETERMINATION OF THE FLOW CURVE USING THE MODIFIED RASTEGAEV TEST
Conference proceedings : 60th Anniversary of the Association of Production Engineering of SerbiaThe application of a modified Rastegaev test for determining flow curves is presented in this paper, as these curves are essential for accurate modeling and simulation of metal forming processes. First, a comprehensive overview of conventional flow curve determination methods is provided, including tensile, compression and tensile testing techniques ...

Factors Determining the Shape of Maximum Expiratory Flow‐Volume Curves in Childhood Asthma
Australian and New Zealand Journal of Medicine, 1973Summary: In 12 children with bronchial asthma, the factors determining maximum expiratory flow at different levels of lung inflation have been examined during forced vital capacity manoeuvres. The findings confirm the histopathological evidence of major changes in the small and medium sized airways in asthma.

Method of determining molar mass distribution from curves of polymer melt flow
Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1988Abstract Based on a theoretical model previously developed, linking the flow curve of polymer melts with MMD, model functions of distribution were used to show the possibility of determining parameters of MMD of given form using flow curves.

An appraisal of procedures to determine the flow curve of cement slurries
Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2017Abstract The performance of protocols usually employed for the rheological characterization of oil well cement slurries is investigated. To this end two cement slurries were employed, namely Paste A and Paste B. The API procedure is addressed and a modification to it is investigated.

Determination of the flow stress-strain curves for metals from axisymmetric upsetting
Journal of Mechanical Working Technology, 1981Abstract A new test method has been developed for determining flow stress-strain curves of materials used in bulk deformation processes such as extrusion, forging and croping. These curves are of vital importance in the industry. The test piece is made of a 14 mm diameter, 21 mm height cylinder which is deformed between two flat dies.

Modified Hydraulic Bulging in Determination of Flow stress Curve
2011The objective of this study is an original method of the stress strain diagram acquisition named modified hydraulic bulging on the sphere. The method has been derived from the hydraulic bulging test. The flow stress-true strain curves were established for aluminium sheet on the experimental apparatus designed for both methods.

Formulae Verification for the Flow Curve Determination Due to Numerical Simulation
2011The axisymmetric specimen applied in the tensile test is numerically characterised within this chapter. Subsequently, the simplifying assumptions of the classical approaches are verified utilising the results obtained from the numerical simulation and the errors were determined.

The experimental flow stress curves of structural steels obtained from axisymmetric compression tests conducted under hot-working conditions very often include the frictional effects present at the tool/specimen interface. Such effects have a significant influence on the flow stress and therefore, should be corrected prior to any quantitative analysis ...

Squeeze film rheology of polymer melts: Determination of the characteristic flow curve
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1994AbstractThe advantage of the constant‐speed squeeze film flow is that the shear rate is not constant but changes with gap height and position. This allows the rheological characterization of a material to be carried out in a shorter amount of experimentation time. A method for determining the characteristic flow curve is proposed.
