Implementation of flow duration curves for evaluating the environmental flow
Global NEST International Conference on Environmental Science & Technology, 2022In this research work, the implementation of Flow Duration Curves (FDC) was assessed, as a mean of estimating the environmental flow (e-flow) in rivers segments in Greece. The FDC of fifteen river basins varying in size and geomorphological characteristics and covering a wide area of mainland Greece, were derived by using high quality monthly discharge

Flow Duration Curve Using Entropy Theory
Journal of Hydrologic Engineering, 2014AbstractUsing the entropy theory, this study derives a function for modeling the flow duration curve (FDC) based on two equations that form simple constraints: (1) the total probability of all flow discharges, and (2) the mean discharge. Parameters of the derived curve are determined from the entropy theory with the use of these two constraints.
