Investigation on Gas Hydrate Slurry Pressure Drop Properties in a Spiral Flow Loop

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Although many studies have been conducted to investigate the hydrates formation and slurry flow during the transportation, studies on the hydrates slurry pressure drop properties using spiral flow in a loop are still almost blank.

Post-Operative Flow-Volume Loops [PDF]

open access: yesAnaesthesia and Intensive Care, 1977
A study of flow-volume curves pre- and post-operatively demonstrated a marked difference between bronchitic and non-bronchitic patients. All bronchitic patients showed lower flow rates at low lung volumes post-operatively, when compared with their pre-operative values. Non-bronchitic patients all had higher flow rates for the same comparison.

Preliminary experimental validation of multi-loop natural circulation model based on RELAP5/SCDAPSIM/MOD 4.0

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Nuclear Reactor Design and Technology, 2020
Passive safety systems mostly working on the principles of natural circulation are given much priority in increasing the reliability of reactors’ inherent safety features.

Separation and Washing of Candida Cells from White Blood Cells Using Viscoelastic Microfluidics

open access: yesMicromachines, 2023
An early and accurate diagnosis of Candida albicans is critical for the rapid antifungal treatment of candidemia, a mortal bloodstream infection. This study demonstrates viscoelastic microfluidic techniques for continuous separation, concentration, and ...

Plasma Flows in the Cool Loop Systems [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2019
Abstract We study the dynamics of low-lying cool loop systems for three data sets as observed by the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph. Radiances, Doppler shifts, and line widths are investigated in and around observed cool loop systems using various spectral lines formed between the photosphere and transition region (TR). Footpoints

Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas in Children and Adolescents: Expert Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas (SPN) is a rare low‐grade malignant exocrine pancreatic tumor, mostly discovered during the second decade of life in females, with a very good prognosis, provided microscopically complete surgical excision is achieved.

Loops in multicommodity flows [PDF]

open access: yes1977 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the 16th Symposium on Adaptive Processes and A Special Symposium on Fuzzy Set Theory and Applications, 1977
Given the traffic flow from each source to each destination in a network and given the aggregate traffic in each link, we want to find if there is any looping of traffic. A careful definition of looping shows that the question is equivalent to whether some of the aggregate link flows can be reduced without increasing any of the others. It is then shown,

Infantile Central Nervous System Juvenile Xanthogranuloma With Somatic CSF1R Mutation Responsive to Imatinib Monotherapy

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) of the central nervous system (CNS) is a rare non‐Langerhans cell histiocytosis. CSF1R mutations have been reported for peripheral JXG, but not in CNS JXG. A 3‐month‐old male presented with fever, lymphadenopathy, and macrocephaly with bulging fontanelles.

T-duality and two-loop renormalization flows* [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1997
Manifest T-duality covariance of the one-loop renormalization group flows is shown for a generic bosonic sigma model with an abelian isometry, by referring a set of previously derived consistency conditions to the tangent space of the target. For a restricted background, T-duality transformations are then studied at the next order, and the ensuing ...
