The microbial loop in flowing waters

Microbial Ecology, 1994
The microbial loop in flowing waters is dependent on allochthonous sources of carbon, which vary in quality. The proportion of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) that can be degraded ranges from

Mass Flows in Coronal Loops

Space Science Reviews, 1994
Although static loop models are often used to describe the structure of coronal loops, it is evident on both observational and theoretical grounds that mass motions play a crucial role in the physics of the corona and transition region. First we review the observations of emission-line broadening and wavelength shifts, which imply the presence of ...

Loops and Flow Control

2011
Control statements direct the program to perform a set of operations repeatedly until some condition exists that terminates the repetition. packetC provides all of the C control statements. This includes forloops, while-do, do-while, and do-until, as well as jump controls such as goto, break, continue, return, and exit.

Clinical Application of the Flow-Volume Loop

Diseases of the Chest, 1969
A convenient method for recording pulmonary function which allows for rapid graphic bedside analysis was presented. The method involves recording flow-volume (V-V) loop, in correct alignment to a previously determined FRC. FRC was measured by a rapid nitrogen dilution method.

Flow-volume loops in newborn infants

Critical Care Medicine, 1980
Flow-volume loops were obtained during the performance of crying vital capacity (CVC) maneuvers in 31 infants, 18 of whom had hyaline membrane disease (HMD). Both healthy and distressed infants had flow-volume loops resembling those found in adults with variable intrathoracic obstruction of the central airways.

SIMULATION OF A FLOW OF LIQUID IN A LOOPING

SAKHAROV READINGS 2022: ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS OF THE XXI CENTURY Part 2, 2022
Modeling of the fluid flow in the looping was performed on a three-dimensional model of the use of a pipeline section. Numerical simulation of the structure was carried out using the ANSYS CFX package. Obtaining the total (static) pressure through the pipeline, the vector field of velocities and the turbulence zone.

Flow Volume Loops

2017
Flow volume loops (FLVs) are a type of pulmonary test used to help evaluate respiratory diseases. Familiarity with FVLs is important because they help quantify respiratory decrements and also responses to treatment. For example, an asthmatic patient can be evaluated before and after bronchodilator treatment. Historically, flow volume loops were used to

Flow Control and Looping

2019
Controlling the flow of your code is important. Programmers want to control the logic of their code for many reasons; one of the main reasons is that the user of the software should have many options open to them.
