Guanosine‐Quadruplex Hydrogels as Dynamic, Mechanically Tunable and Ion Conductive 3D Scaffolds for Cell Culture Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Versatile guanosine‐quadruplex (GQ) hydrogels are developed as dynamic biomatrices for cell culture. These scaffolds are fabricated under mild aqueous conditions, present improved stability, tunable mechanical properties within physiological ranges; fibrillar, porous microstructure, ion conductivity, and cytocompatibility.

Magneto‐Ionic Devices With Polymer‐Based Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes are introduced for magneto‐ionic devices based on hydroxide and hydrogen ions. The magneto‐ionic effect results in a pronounced voltage‐controlled variation of coercivity in both devices. The switching speed is in the range of 100 ms.

Nitrospinics: Nitride Materials for Spin‐Orbit and Orbital Torques From Memory to Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Further advances in applications can be anticipated through the development of unique and functional materials beyond conventional alloys. Nitrogen enables tailor‐made orbital textures in various transition‐metal hosts, paving the way for devices ranging from spintronics memory to artificial intelligence hardware.

The flow-volume loop in tetraplegics [PDF]

open access: yesSpinal Cord, 1977
We have studied the FVC and maximum flow-volume loop in 20 tetraplegics and the results have been compared with the predicted normal values. The FVC in sitting position is reduced at approximately half the normal predicted values and is significantly lower than in supine and Trendelenburg.

Stationary Flows in Coronal Loops

Space Science Reviews, 1994
We present a study of stationary flows in closed solar coronal loops. The hydrodynamic differential equations of plasma flow and energy balance are integrated with algorithms which achieve high reliability. We present here results on the detailed synthesis of loop emission in specific bands and lines, taking into account also non-equilibrium ionization.

The microbial loop in flowing waters

Microbial Ecology, 1994
The microbial loop in flowing waters is dependent on allochthonous sources of carbon, which vary in quality. The proportion of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) that can be degraded ranges from

Mass Flows in Coronal Loops

Space Science Reviews, 1994
Although static loop models are often used to describe the structure of coronal loops, it is evident on both observational and theoretical grounds that mass motions play a crucial role in the physics of the corona and transition region. First we review the observations of emission-line broadening and wavelength shifts, which imply the presence of ...

SIMULATION OF A FLOW OF LIQUID IN A LOOPING

SAKHAROV READINGS 2022: ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS OF THE XXI CENTURY Part 2, 2022
Modeling of the fluid flow in the looping was performed on a three-dimensional model of the use of a pipeline section. Numerical simulation of the structure was carried out using the ANSYS CFX package. Obtaining the total (static) pressure through the pipeline, the vector field of velocities and the turbulence zone.

Clinical Application of the Flow-Volume Loop

Diseases of the Chest, 1969
A convenient method for recording pulmonary function which allows for rapid graphic bedside analysis was presented. The method involves recording flow-volume (V-V) loop, in correct alignment to a previously determined FRC. FRC was measured by a rapid nitrogen dilution method.
