Hysteresis effect in a double channel natural circulation loop

open access: yes, 2010
[[abstract]]This study investigates experimentally the effect of power changing procedure, i.e., heating or cooling, on thermal hydraulic behavior of a double channel natural circulation loop.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Detecting and drilling in critical inclination window in slant wells by means of a two phase liquid-solid CFD model and experimental study

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2019
Build and hold from vertical section form slant wells. The hole cleaning phenomena in this wells can cause of many problems that increased the operational costs.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

The twisted gradient flow coupling at one loop

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We compute the one-loop running of the SU(N) ’t Hooft coupof twelve-flavor SU(3) gauge theoryling in a finite volume gradient flow scheme using twisted boundary conditions.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A Model for Inventory Control in Closed-Loop Supply Chain Management considering Multiple Objective Planning Case: Iran Khodro Cut and Press Shop Company [PDF]

open access: yesMuṭāli̒āt-i Mudīriyyat-i Ṣan̒atī
Nowadays attending to closed-loop supply chain matter for survival in competitive circumstances not only has been become a controversial topic but also has been considered as a critical topic too.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

One loop phenomenology of type II string theory: intersecting d-branes and noncommutativity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We examine one loop amplitudes for open and closed strings in certain D-brane configurations, and investigate the consequences for phenomenology. Initially we consider open strings at D6-brane intersections.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
