Electrosynthesis in Laminar Flow Using a Flow Microreactor

The Chemical Record, 2021
AbstractElectrosynthesis and microflow synthesis have become essential tools in their own rights in modern organic synthesis. In this personal account, we summarize our works on the integrated use of these techniques, i. e., electrosynthesis in a flow microreactor.

Electro-osmotically controllable multi-flow microreactor

Microfluidics and Nanofluidics, 2005
An adjustable diffusion-based microfluidic reactor is presented here, which is based on electro-osmotic guiding of reagent samples. The device consists of a laminar flow chamber with two separate reagent inlets. The position and the width of the two sample streams in the flow chamber can be controlled individually by changing the flow ratio of three ...

Partial wetting gas–liquid segmented flow microreactor

Lab on a Chip, 2010
A microfluidic reactor strategy for reducing plug-to-plug transport in gas-liquid segmented flow microfluidic reactors is presented. The segmented flow is generated in a wetting portion of the chip that transitions downstream to a partially wetting reaction channel that serves to disconnect the liquid plugs.

A gradientless flow microreactor

Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters, 1981
A simple flow microreactor can perform as a gradientless microreactor under suitable conditions so that, thanks to molecular diffusion, the reactant concentration is leveled out considerably. This was demonstrated on the basis of a mathematical analysis of the reactant concentration distribution in a flow reactor and the observation was confirmed ...

Slug flow in curved microreactors: Hydrodynamic study

Chemical Engineering Science, 2007
Abstract The need for eco-friendly and energy saving processes which are substantially compact and give higher efficiency has led to the concept of process intensification (PI). Curved microchannel is such innovative device, which has potential for the intensification of processes currently carried out in conventional straight or T-type microchannels.
