Numerical Simulation and Comparison of Flow Characteristics in 180 Divergent and Uniform Open-Channel Bends Using Experimental Datas [PDF]
Few rivers running on straight paths are seen in nature; most of them have meandrous form. For meandering rivers, the flow pattern is highly complex and flow mechanics has specific characteristics at bends, which not observed on straight paths. Numerical

Zonal flow as pattern formation [PDF]
Zonal flows are well known to arise spontaneously out of turbulence. We show that for statistically averaged equations of the stochastically forced generalized Hasegawa-Mima model, steady-state zonal flows, and inhomogeneous turbulence fit into the framework of pattern formation. There are many implications.

Experimental Study of Starvation and Flow Behavior in Grease-Lubricated EHD Contact
This paper describes an experimental study of starvation and flow behavior in grease-lubricated elastohydrodynamic contact. Rolling tests were conducted with four grease samples with different thickeners and base oils in a conventional ball-on-disk test ...

Patterning Electro-osmotic Flow with Patterned Surface Charge [PDF]
This Letter reports the measurement of electro-osmotic flows (EOF) in microchannels with surface charge patterned on the 200 microm scale. We have investigated two classes of patterns: (1) Those in which the surface charge varies along a direction perpendicular to the electric field used to drive the EOF; this type of pattern generates multidirectional

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

ABSTRACT Background Children with sickle cell disease (SCD) face multiple acute and chronic medical complications that may impact their quality of life as reported by patients themselves. Health‐related social needs (HRSNs), such as food and housing insecurity, are common in people with SCD, but the association between HRSNs and patient‐reported ...

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) neuroblastoma, FOXR2‐activated, is a recently recognized entity in the WHO CNS5 classification, defined by activation of the FOXR2 transcription factor and unique histopathological features. This review synthesizes available literature and pooled clinical data, providing insight into demographics ...

ABSTRACT Background Cerebellar ataxia after pediatric brain tumor treatment can cause persistent gait, balance, and speech impairment, yet no established rehabilitation strategy exists. Somato‐cognitive coordination therapy (SCCT) is a virtual reality–guided intervention designed to promote sensorimotor integration through visually constrained reaching
