Considerations and Challenges for Large Area Embedded Micro-channels with 3D Manifold in High Heat Flux Power Electronics Applications

Intersociety Conference on Thermal and Thermomechanical Phenomena in Electronic Systems, 2020
Embedded microchannel with 3D manifold heat sinks (EMMCs) offer two primary advantages over conventional microchannel heat sinks: increased thermal performance and decreased pressure loss.

Route to a chaotic state in fluid flow past an inclined flat plate

Physical Review E, 2009
We present the results of a numerical study of flow past an inclined flat plate and reveal a route of the transition from steady to chaotic flow. We find that the chaotic flow regime can be reached through the sequential occurrence of successive period-doubling bifurcations and various incommensurate bifurcations.

Optimal Use of Plate-Scanning Resources for Route Flow Estimation in Traffic Networks

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2010
This paper discusses the problem of optimizing the use of scanning resources for route flow estimation in traffic networks. Three problems are considered: (1) Minimize the number of cameras to be used for estimating a given subset of route flows; (2) identify the subsets of links to be scanned for a given number of available cameras, assuming that ...

Dual solutions for nanofluid flow past a moving plate embedded in a Darcy porous medium in attendance of heat source/sink

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2023
The aim of this study is to present forced convective nanofluid flow over a moving plate embedded in an absorbent medium. Following Darcy law’s for porous medium, the flow analysis is explored in attendance of warmth basis/drop.

Effects of Throttling Orifice Plate on Flow and Aerodynamic Noise Characteristics Inside Valve Downstream

Volume 2: Multiphase Flow (MFTC); Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFDTC); Micro and Nano Fluid Dynamics (MNFDTC), 2022
The serious aerodynamic noise is caused in the downstream of control valve by high pressure difference. Severe aerodynamic noise will affect worker safety and production safety. Throttling orifice plate located in control valve downstream is one of the
