Flowability of Electrolytic Copper Powder

Materials Science Forum, 2005
The surface structure of powder particles, which allows free flow of copper powder, was examined. It has been shown that a sufficiently dense surface structure which permits free flow will be obtained if apparent density is higher than 2.2 – 2.3 g/cm3.

Genotoxic biomonitoring of flowable and non-flowable composite resins in peripheral blood leukocytes

Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 2012
Composite restorative materials represent one of the most important groups of materials in contemporary dental practice. However, their incomplete polymerization may lead to monomer-induced genotoxicity. The objective of this study was to evaluate the genotoxicity of three flowable (Filtek Supreme XT Flow, Tetric EvoFlow, Gradia Direct Flo) and three ...

Flowability characterization of nanopowders

Powder Technology, 2015
Abstract The applications of nanopowders are increasing significantly over the last years. In most of these applications, the flow behavior of the nanopowders seems to be a complicated, multiparametric but critical issue for the proper design of the processes.

Comparison of flowable bulk-fill and flowable resin-based composites: an in vitro analysis

Clinical Oral Investigations, 2016
Flowable bulk-fill resin bonded composites (RBCs) are supposed to show improved abrasion resistance and fracture toughness in comparison to flowable conventional RBCs.Specimens of eight flowable RBCs (5× flowable conventional, 3× flowable bulk-fill) were fabricated for testing relative fracture toughness (SENB), relative three-body wear, the Vickers ...

Edge-strength of flowable resin-composites

Journal of Dentistry, 2008
To evaluate in vitro the failure-forces of flowable composites at different distances from an interface edge of a bulk material.Seven materials were investigated. An edge-strength testing instrument (CK10) was used in this study. Fourteen disc specimens were prepared (12 mm x 2.5 mm) for each material using Teflon moulds, with a layering technique and ...

Powder flowability characterizing techniques

2004
The experimentally determined indexes for describing the flow of behavior of powder streams in industrial storage, transport, and processing operations are discussed. A better control of powder flow during manufacturing optimizes the quality of the product in terms of uniformity and efficiency.
