Current Control of Electrolytic Capacitor-Less Variable Frequency Drive System for Synchronous Reluctance Motors Based on Power Balancing and Compensation

open access: yesIEEE Access
The electrolytic capacitor-less variable frequency drive scheme using film capacitors to replace electrolytic capacitors has been partially applied in the field of washing machines and air conditioners driven by permanent magnet synchronous motors, due ...

Coupling effects of heterogeneity and stress fluctuation on rupture

open access: yes, 2004
The coupling of mesoscopic strength distribution and stress fluctuation on damage evolution and rupture are examined. The numerical simulations show that there is only weak stress fluctuation at the initial damage stage when the mean field approximation ...

On the Definition of Fluctuating Temperature [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Systems & Information Dynamics, 2004
The Maxwell distribution is derived from the F-distribution in the limit where one of the degrees of freedom of the χ2 variates tends to infinity. The estimator of the temperature is consistent, and, hence coincides with the temperature of the heat reservoir in the asymptotic limit; it is also unbiased and efficient.

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Multiplicity fluctuations and temperature fluctuations

open access: yes, 2009
We argue that specific fluctuations observed in high-energy nuclear collisions can be attributed to intrinsic fluctuations of temperature of the hadronizing system formed in such processes and therefore can be described by the same nonextensivity parameter $q$ characterizing Tsallis statistics describing such systems (for $q \to 1$ one recovers the ...

Infection Control Practices for Vascular Access Management in Hemodialysis: Results From a Nationwide Survey of Japanese National University Hospitals

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Bloodstream infections due to repeated vascular access (VA) puncture and circuit connections remain major concerns in hemodialysis. Therefore, we examined current practices for glove, disinfectant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use according to VA type in national university hospitals in Japan.

Linear Landau damping, Schrödinger equation, and fluctuation theorem [PDF]

open access: yes
ORCID 0000-0001-5444-1758A linearized Vlasov–Poisson system of equations is transformed into a Schrödinger equation, which is used to demonstrate that the fluctuation theorem holds for the relative stochastic entropy, defined in terms of the probability ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...
