Fluctuation theorem for nonequilibrium reactions

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2004
A fluctuation theorem is derived for stochastic nonequilibrium reactions ruled by the chemical master equation. The theorem is expressed in terms of the generating and large-deviation functions characterizing the fluctuations of a quantity which measures the loss of detailed balance out of thermodynamic equilibrium.

Derivation of the Fluctuation-Dissipation Theorem

Physical Review, 1958
A simple derivation is given of the fluctuation-dissipation theorem or generalized Nyquist formula. The proof is based on a solution of the Langevin equation for a thermodynamic variable according to Ornstein's method; in this way the correlation function and the spectrum are obtained directly in the desired form.
