LIMITATIONS OF DRY FLUE GAS TREATMENT BY SODIUM BICARBONATE: THE INFLUENCE OF FLUE GAS COMPOSITION [PDF]

open access: yesWIT Transactions on Ecology and the Environment, 2018
Waste to energy is nowadays in many countries preferred to landfilling. In areas with low population density, small-scale waste to energy plants can help to avoid large collection areas. However, in small scale, flue gas treatment is very expensive and, therefore, has to be for these purposes simplified.

Exceptional removal and immobilization of selenium species by bimetal-organic frameworks

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 2022
Binary metallic organic frameworks can always play excellent functions for pollutants removal. One binary MOFs, UiO-66(Fe/Zr)), was newly synthesized and applied to remove aquatic selenite (SeIV) and selenate (SeVI).

Corrosion Behavior and Morphology of Passive Films Modified with Zinc–Aluminum Simultaneous Treatment on Different Metals

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Passive films were formed on A508-3 steel (A508-3), 304L stainless steel (304L) and Incoloy 800 (In800) with blank/zinc/zinc–aluminum treatments in air at 300 °C.

Solution‐Processed Mn‐Doped 2d Perovskite Wavelength Shifters for Noble‐Liquid Photon Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Mn2+‐doped PEA2PbBr4 two‐dimensional perovskite films are demonstrated as large‐area wavelength shifters for noble‐liquid photon detectors. Mn2+ incorporation introduces a broad emission band at ∼620 nm with a large Stokes shift, suppressing self‐absorption and matching SiPM sensitivity.
