An experimental study of the oscillations in a flue organ pipe [PDF]
Stationary oscillations of a simple flux-type organ pipe have been studied. Internal acoustical pressure measurements in combination with modification of pipe geometry indicate that the sound source at the labium is a dipole. A number of measurements have been made of middle C open diapason organ pipes during variation of the voicing adjustments. The effect on the spectrum and on the initial transient of alterations in height of mouth, languid setting, and wind pressure are presented. The effect of nicking is shown to be a decrease in the random noise background.

Catalytic Oxidation of CO and VOC in Flue Gas of Coffee Roasting Machines
Platinum‐coated cordierite monoliths effectively oxidized CO and VOC in coffee roasting exhaust with higher Pt loadings lowering light‐off temperatures. Scaled up 90 g/ft3 catalyst in a 5 kg roaster achieved 96% CO and around 78% VOC conversion at 350°C, highlighting stable operation requires flue gas temperatures ≥350°C.
