Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

Logic Programming for Finding Models in the Logics of Knowledge and its Applications: A Case Study

open access: yes, 2010
The logics of knowledge are modal logics that have been shown to be effective in representing and reasoning about knowledge in multi-agent domains. Relatively few computational frameworks for dealing with computation of models and useful transformations ...

Brain plasticity in aphasic patients: Intra- and inter-hemispheric reorganisation of the whole linguistic network probed by N150 and N350 components [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The present study examined linguistic plastic reorganization of language through Evoked Potentials in a group of 17 non-fluent aphasic patients who had suffered left perisylvian focal lesions, and showed a good linguistic recovery.

Cognitive Trajectories from Preclinical Alzheimer's Disease to Dementia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A continuous, multi‐domain characterization of cognitive decline across the Alzheimer's disease spectrum identifies when individual cognitive measures become abnormal. Episodic memory declines first, followed by executive function, language, processing speed, and visuospatial abilities, supporting improved clinical interpretation and optimized endpoint

Conversational Turn Length and Fluency Measurement in Aphasia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A common assumption regarding fluency is that the difference between a fluent and non-fluent speaker can be easily stated (Poeck, 1989; Gordon, 1998). However, there is no objective and valid measure to determinate the level of a person with aphasia on ...

Stable Diffusion Models Reveal a Persisting Human–AI Gap in Visual Creativity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study examines visual creativity in humans and generative AI using the TCIA framework. Human artists outperform AI overall, yet structured human guidance substantially improves AI outputs and evaluations. Findings reveal that alignment with human creativity depends critically on contextual framing, highlighting both the promise and current ...
